What email should I use to sign up?

Use an email address that belongs to the main point of contact for the fundraiser. We’ll use it to keep in touch with you as your fundraiser progresses. An important way we help you maximize your earnings is by emailing you about any items that were brought that we are not able to recycle.

What should I do if I want more than one person to drop off ?

For now, we recommend each person to sign up with their own code as we consider the email address holder responsible for the items that are dropped off. Anyone who wants to help support your cause can sign up for their own code, drop off, cash out, and donate directly to your cause.

Should my volunteers create their own accounts?

For now, we recommend each volunteer creates their own account so they can receive feedback on the items they drop off. Volunteers feel motivated by seeing their positive impact and when each person has their own code they can see exactly how much they recycled and the difference they are making.

Can I share my code with one of my volunteers?

For now, we recommend each volunteer creates their own account so they can receive feedback on the items they drop off. If you share your code with a volunteer your are responsible for what they drop off.

How do I transport items to the Resin Station?

Recruit volunteers to transport your cans and bottles to your nearest Resin Recycling Station. The station is self serve and open 24/7 so they can drop off whenever it fits into their schedule.

Do I need to have a pickup truck?

Any sort of vehicle will do. We’ve had customers drop off 50 pounds of cans in the back of a sedan.

What sort of collection bins do I need?

Use any containers of your choice. Consider any liquids and the weight of a container when it’s full. We have done extensive user research to create graphics that reduce confusion about recycling guidelines . We recommend you print these out and tape them to your bins to help participants understand what is accepted and where it should go.

How do I raise awareness about my fundraiser ?

Check out the fundraise tab at app.raisewithresin.com. After you create an event you’ll see a variety of sharing options using the “share” button on your event. Drop us an email if you’d like to get your fundraiser reposted on our social channels.

Do I need to be a 501(c)(3) to do a fundraiser with Resin?

There is no requirement to be a 501(c)(3) organization.
